What We Believe

We believe that there is one body, which is God's church, made up of baptized disciples.  There is one Holy Spirit, the counselor that lives in the true disciple of Jesus Christ.  There is one hope of going to heaven that all Christians share.  There is one Lord, whose name is Jesus that we are called to submit to.  There is one faith in God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit and the Bible that we are to cling to as Christians.  There is one baptism, which is full immersion in water, that anyone who wants to follow Jesus is called to partake in.  There is one God, The God of the Bible, who is the ruler and orchestrate of all creation.

Ephesians 4:4-5John 14:16, John 14:26, Acts 2:38-41, 1Thessalonians 4:16-18, Romans 10:9-10, Acts 8:26-39 Genesis 1-2

Specifics of our Beliefs

We believe that Jesus Christ suffered and died for our sins, and rose from the dead on the third day. He ascended to Heaven and is at God the Father's side. Ephesians 4:7-10, 1 Peter 2:24

We believe that The Bible is the only inspired word of God. It is the standard and authority for both life and doctrine, superseding the opinions, emotions, experiences, and traditions of man.

John 12:47-50

Anyone who has heard the gospel, believes, repents and confesses Jesus as Lord - should be baptized into Christ, receiving the indwelling Holy Spirit, having their sins forgiven, and being added to the body of Christ.  A person is then called to persevere in their faith until the end in order to be saved on the last day.

Romans 10:14, John 8:31-32, Luke 13:1-5, Romans 10:9-10

Acts 2:38-41, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Hebrews 3:14

While salvation is based on grace and not our good works, disciples have a responsibility to live and work for God as laid out in the Bible. This includes helping others to become disciples, training or discipling one another to love God and stay faithful to Him  Matthew 28:18-20, Hebrews 3:12-13, Colossians 1:28-29, and serving the poor and needy James 1:27.

As disciples of Jesus, we are committed to loving God and each other. We're never going to be perfect as people, but under God's incredible grace we are striving to follow Christ's example in our daily lives -- and help each other do the same -- through prayer, Bible study, and one another relationships
in the church.

Matthew 22:37-39
